This male to male pigtail cable is how you can the lens control signal out of the Sony Camera. You will need this cable if you have the old sony style, where the LANC Jack was on the camera, or on the new sony "AV/R" jack. This 1 foot cable connects to the big hi-pod cable, thus sending the Lens Control signal down to the controller at the bottom of the HI-POD.
