This product is a replacement cable for JJC or Magnus brand remotes. Both remote brands use the same cable.

• DO NOT MIX WITH SONY BRAND REMOTES

This works with the JJC or Magnus model remotes ONLY.  It will not work with earlier Sony brand remote controllers (but it will work with Sony cameras - with a JJC or Magnus remote).  This is a replacement for the JJC / Magnus cable only (both JJC / Magnus remotes use the same cable).

• If you have a black Sony remote, you need the product at this link.

*NOTE: If you are going to use this lanc cable system, you are required to use it with the strain relief plate.  We will not honor an electronics warranty for a cable used without the strain relief plate.   The plate prevents damage that can occur at the cable tips and camera ports.  

Camera Notes:

"NOTE: If you have the Sony FDR-AX100 or the HDR-CX900, do NOT power on/off the AX100 or CX900 video camera with the remote control. It will lock up the video camera. This is NOT a problem with the remote, but a problem with the AX100/CX900 video cameras.

To unlock the camera, you will need to remove the camera battery for about a minute, then install the camera battery and you should be okay."
