This item offered as a replacement for users with a black Sony remote (shipments varied from late 2016-early 2017, and then from 2019 - May of 2021).

If you received the black Sony remote, this is a replacement cable. THIS ITEM ONLY WORKS WITH SONY REMOTES & SONY CAMERAS.

*NOTE: If you are going to use this lanc cable system, you are required to use it with the strain relief plate. We will not honor an electronics warranty for a cable used without the strain relief plate. The plate prevents damage that can occur at the cable tips and camera ports.

Cameras that are compatible are any current Sony camera with a 'multi' port.

• This cable does not work with VariZoom/ Revo / or JJC remotes.

This cable is more robust than the original cable that came with the system. It should last for a long time. The customer service representative was very helpful in directing me to the correct part.
