This item secures your video and lanc cables under the camera, so that any pulling which may occur during tower elevation/operation does not harm the connecting tips of cables, or the video/lanc ports on the camera. Excellent piece of equipment to ensure the connections to the camera are stable, despite raising and lowering the tower and rocking the camera vertically (up and down) when filming the game.

The point of this product is to prevent strain on the plugs that the cables plug in to, specifically the HDMI port and the remote control port on the camera. This adapter helps with this due to running the wires under the camera out of the way so they cant get caught/yanked on any part of the hipod pulley assembly while in use. You do have to make sure to leave a little bit extra though, but that is easy enough.
