This is the standard 1/4-20 (pronouned "quarter-twenty" )screw with thumb screw that is used to attach and tighten your camera to the hi-pod head.

    This deserves 4.5 stars, but I'd like to see a little more engineering done to improve the camera balance on the head which would make the tilt function smoother.

    That said, the product is wonderful. It can be used by one person, but two people make life so much simpler. I do not own their Monitor, I chose the Atomos instead. My choice of camera is the PXW-X70. VERY happy with this camera and quality so far. Hi-Pod's remote works great with it and allows you to turn the camera off and on. Saves battery.
